Ranch Life

We’re excited to bring back our holiday gift guide for you this year to hopefully provide a little inspiration for those outdoor enthusiasts, foodies, and western lifestyle aficionados on your lists. This year, we compiled our favorite ranch vendors from years past as well as local small businesses from around Clark and Steamboat Springs that are making, and doing, really cool things around our neck of the woods.

Horseplay Western Wear

Made by Lori Neff, mom to one of our former staffers, these wool cowls have become a huge winter staple around the ranch, from wranglers to ranch hands to our office staff. They’re cozy, fashionable, and downright beautiful. Custom orders are accepted, and inquiries can be made via Instagram or email.

Tender Belly Bacon

How could we not include Tender Belly Bacon? It has been included in every holiday gift guide since the guide’s inception in 2017, and for good reason. It’s the bacon we serve at the ranch and it’s the bacon all our guests can’t get enough of.

Seam of Life

This new Steamboat outdoor apparel company makes hemp and merino wool active lifestyle apparel that’s hand-dyed with plant dyes—how cool! Morgan Kurz, the designer and founder, cooks down raw plants to extract color to dye the fabric and works with customers to create unique designs to suit that person’s individual style. She can make mountain bike jerseys, pullovers, and more.

Ranch Organics

Not only do we love the name, and love the gal who started this great company, but we love the products! Offering goat milk soap, lotions, shampoo, conditioner, and more, Ranch Organics started in Steamboat and has since gone nationwide due to the success of their products. If you want the same scent you enjoyed with our amenities, look for Sweet Grass.

Travis Tweed

Handcrafted right here in Clark, Colorado by Barb Lynn (former employee Charlie Cammer’s wife), these Travis Tweed accent pillows, cushions, and covers/shams are beautiful. The tweed cloth is hand woven by Barb in her Loom Room, with a view of the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness, in very small amounts, and the herringbone or plaid designs stand alone, not to be repeated.
