And the winner is…..

It is with great excitement that we announce the inaugural recipient of the Elk River Kipper Scholarship. When we established the scholarship fund in honor of Charlie’s 20 years at the ranch, those of us on the selection committee understood we would have to choose the recipient each year, but we greatly underestimated the difficulty of this task.  We had so many well-deserving applicants, and the decision was not an easy one.  However, following the guidelines that we all agreed on for ranking the applicants, we picked our winner and are thrilled to announce Abby Fisk as the 2020, and the first, recipient of the Elk River Kipper Scholarship.  Abby worked at the ranch in between school for three previous seasons and is returning for her fourth this summer.  Working at the ranch has inspired her to pursue a career in hospitality, and she will begin working towards a degree in Hospitality Management at the University of Hawaii in the fall.  Congratulations to Abby!
