Here’s a perfect one for a backyard cookout or a weekend picnic. It’s a favorite summer lunch dish at the ranch, when everyone comes in hungry from their adventures out on the trails.
2 heads of Broccoli, cut into bite sized pieces
½ pound bacon, cooked and chopped
1 small red onion, diced
¼ cup whole grain Dijon mustard
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ cup crème fraiche or sour cream
½ cup mayonnaise
1 ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
- In a small bowl, combine the mustard, mayo, crème fraiche, sugar and salt and pepper and whisk together.
- In a larger bowl, combine remaining ingredients with mustard/mayo mixture and taste for seasoning, adjust. Enjoy!
