Damon is back for his 12th season in the dining room! He is passionate about wine, and is studying for his entry level sommelier course. When not serving in the dining room, you can find Damon at local restaurants, as he is a connoisseur of the local food and wine scene. He also loves spending quality time with friends and getting out into the backcountry on skis or snow shoes.
Head Housekeeper
Hometown: Kansas City, MO
After working at the ranch for a season as a housekeeper, Shelby has jumped back in to be our Head Housekeeper! She knows all of our Cabins inside and out, y’all are in good hands. When she isn’t on the ranch you can find her two-stepping in town, reading, or listening to music!

Hometown: Houston, TX
Darion was born in Mississippi and grew up in Houston. He attended Lone Star College pursuing an education degree, but now has his sights set on a career in Physical Therapy. His first season was Darion’s first time living outside the city and he loved it so much he’s back for more, this is his third season! He says the epic star gazing sure does beat the light pollution in the city. He made fast friends with the ranch cats, and when he’s relaxing, he likes to read books (philosophy and dystopian novels are his favs), and hang out on the river. Fun fact: he plays orchestral trumpet and can make a mean latte!

Meet Eve, one of our new additions to the serving team! A recent graduate from Colorado College, where she studied sociology, she worked as a housekeeper at a ranch in Wyoming before coming on over to VVR! Being from Springfield, IL, she grew up living in California, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and Arizona! Outside of the U.S, Eve has been learning Mandarin since she was six and visited China this spring to practice, and see some long distance friends. In her free time, you can find her admiring the horses, she is eager to learn some new riding skills, taking a scenic drive, watching documentaries, or relaxing on the porch! Fun Fact… she knows how to make an old fashioned four different ways- ask her about it! She is most excited to be on our serving team to connect and learn all about our lovely guests!

Hometown: Brigham City, UT
With 5+ years of serving experience, we are excited to have Becca apart of our Serving Team! Since graduating High School, Becca has been traveling all over the United States. Her most recent adventure landed her in Hawaii where she worked at a Hostel but this is her first time being on a ranch! In her free time, you can find her on trail rides. She is thrilled to learn more about fine dining and we can’t think of a better place for her than at Vista Verde.

Hometown: Madison, GA
Growing up in the small town of Madison, Georgia, Laneer spent her childhood on a farm, immersed in the company of various animals, which ignited her lifelong passion for them. She earned a degree in Veterinary Technology and worked at the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Currently, She is pursuing a degree in business management on top of joining our outstanding server team. She loves anything outdoors, whether it’s riding, hiking, fishing, or running and is always down for a spontaneous adventure! Fitness and helping others train are one of her passions. Laneer is always ready for some fun, yeehaw, Welcome to the team!

Andrei is from the East Coast but made the trip out West for his first season. With his 8+ years of serving experience he makes a great addition, you can find him hosting our whiskey tastings! In his free time, he likes to snowboard and take adventures. His goal is to one day see the Northern Lights. Fun Fact: He is Russian!

Brook graduated from Middle Tennessee State University this December where she got a degree in Mathematics. She previously worked as a server at Texas Road House and she got the Western bug! Fast forward a few months later and she ended up in cowboy heaven- here! She is eager to ride and learn more about our wonderful horsemanship program, who can blame her?! Brook loves everything to do with the outdoors and is ready for her first, real Colorado Winter. Along with that, she used to be a whitewater rafting guide. Once the Elk River melts, you can find her there.

Meet Nakailee! As she joins us for her first season, she is also finishing her general education classes at Snow College. She decided to take advantage of her gap year between college in Colorado but will continue her education in Radiology. Her most recent adventure before VVR landed her in Alaska working at a fishing lodge where she picked up her love for fishing! Some of her favorite activities back in her home state of Utah include swing dancing, wakeboarding, and glassing for wildlife. You can always find her picking up different hobbies and attempting new things.

Born and raised in Florida, Lexi is trading the beach for the Rocky Mountains. She is passionate about conservation and educating people on how to protect our planet and hopes one day to bring greener ways of living to others! She fits right in here at Vista Verde, with our very own green thumb, and we couldn’t be happier!

We welcome Erin to her first season with us and she is thrilled to be a part of it! Erin is originally from Wichita, KS, and after spending a couple of years in college, she wanted to seek greener pastures so her and her husband Ian, our newest Ranch Hand, made their way out west. Over the years, she has gained experience in various fields, including healthcare, horticulture, and food service. Erin enjoys working with people, exploring new places, and trying new things. She takes pride in doing quality work and find great satisfaction in refining my skills- which makes her a valuable addition to our mighty housekeeping team! In her free time you can find her running, hiking, staying active, designing and creating, and taking personality tests.

Hometown: Terre Haute, IN
Abigail grew up in Terre Haute IN on a small hobby farm which sparked her love and interest in animals! She has had lots of different types of animals- to name a few dogs, cows, goats, chickens, pigs, and horses (she proudly wears the title of “horse girl”, yeehaw). She has an associate business administration degree but is hanging it up for a quick stint in housekeeping. Fun Fact: she loves to cook and bake but will never make the same things twice.

Lyza joins us for her first season at the ranch. She learned about VVR from her friend and thought it would be the perfect adventure after graduating High School this year. When she isn’t working, she enjoys lifting and running (she is a former track star) and snowboarding. Since graduating, she has been busy! She has travelled to Mexico, London, and most recently, Africa where she was on a mission trip for almost 2 weeks. Currently she is learning Spanish. Wow! Are we happy to have her.
