Bronc and Ski Day- Travis Darling Fundraiser

Vista Verde Ranch will be hosting a special day at the ranch on Sunday, March 17, 2013.  The event is a fundraiser in memory of Travis Darling, who passed away in the fall of 2012.  Travis’s step-dad Charlie has been a part of the Vista Verde team since 1999, so we wanted to do something special for Charlie and Barb, as well as give the local community a chance to have some fun in Travis’s honor.

The trails will be groomed and ready for skating and classic skiing.  Our chefs will prepare a wonderful Western BBQ fit for a cowboy.  Jesse Christianson will be playing classic cowboy music live in the Great room.  And, for a few folks who sign up early will have the chance to take part in a horsemanship clinic with ranch trainer Terry Wegener.

All proceeds will go toward a Travis Darling Memorial Bronc Riding Event at the Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo series this summer.

Trail pass: $20 adults, $5 kids 12 and under

Ski/snowshoe rentals: $15/person

Cowboy feast 12:30-1:30pm: $45 adults, $25 kids 12 and under

Horsemanship clinic 1:30-4:00pm: $100/rider  (we can provide a horse or you bring your own) or $30/person to audit
