Guides

Steven King

Steven King learned his guiding the hard way–on cross-country ski tours in the Breckenridge area. Returning for his eighteenth season, Steve is our head ski guide in the winter and oversees the hiking and biking excursions in the summer. Growing up in an Air Force family, he saw a lot of the country before taking root (well, sort of) in Ohio to earn a graduate degree in exercise physiology. Steve (he prefers that although he says using “Stephen King” gets him immediate seating in most restaurants) has had a variety of job experiences that you’ll learn about on the trails. He’s got an entire fleet of new mountain bikes that he’ll need your help to break in!

Kelli King

Kelli King is the better half of our husband and wife guiding duo. When she’s not out guiding guests in the wilderness, she finds herself tracking other “wild” life–their 11 year old daughter, Maddie! Like her husband, Kelli grew up in Ohio and earned her degree in exercise physiology at Kent State University. After a year as a corporate wellness instructor, she came out West with her new husband and never left. She has found a new passion here at the ranch, yoga! She is able to combine her exercise physiology knowledge with her calm energy to create a peaceful and challenging yoga experience. Be sure to join her and Steph for our weekly wild yoga sessions out in our beautiful Routt Nat’l Forest. You can read a full bio from Kelli’s spotlight on our blog.

Beka Adam

Beka Adam joins us for her fifth season and is excited to be working with the children’s program and as a ski guide. She loves to be outdoors and working hard. Beka graduated from University of Georgia with a degree in Child and Family Development.  Upon graduation Beka received a certificate and completed an internship in Colorado Springs.  She’s active in sports in her free time, recently completing a half marathon and has enjoyed traveling for mission trips. Her southern charm and active life style fit right in with the guest ranch life

Kathy Golebiowski

Kathy Golebiowski is joining us as a skiing guide this winter from her hometown of Mount Vernon, Washington. After happily serving meals in the dining room over the summer, Kathy is excited to get outside to enjoy the crisp mountain air. Watch out for her country dance skills! That is one of her many passions.

Jessica Jordan

Jessica Jordan is joining us this winter from not too far away, just down in Boulder. She graduated from Colorado College with a degree in International Political Economy. She loves the outdoors, anything from trail running to backcountry backpacking. She’s accustomed to the hard work of corral life from working as a wrangler here last summer. We’re excited she’s with us this winter in the backcountry!
