Although we're a small place, every now and then some of the big shots recognize that we're out there doing a really nice job providing a quality, unique vacation experience. Here are some of the awards we've been thrilled to receive recently.

André Gayot who, with his friends Henri Gault and Christian Millau, coined and promoted the term Nouvelle Cuisine in the early 1970s has been directing sophisticated travelers to the world's best restaurants, hotels, shops, sightseeing and cultural attractions for more than 45 years.
We just got word that Vista Verde was selected as one of the top ten ranches to recommend. These type of honors are wonderful to hear about, and help keep us excited to continue our work towards "betterness".

Fodor's announcing that Vista Verde had been selected as a Fodor's Choice 2006 recipient. Their writers select a list of the best places to visit when traveling to a region, and we were thrilled to be on the list!
It's a pleasure to be a part of the
Conde Nast Johansens recommended hotels and inns collection. We've been recognized many times as a nominee for the Most Excellent Ranch category. We won the award several years ago, and are pleased to once again be a nominee for 2008.
We thought it might be a long shot since this is such a large scale magazine, but what a great surprise to be included in their "Best Outfitters on the Earth" online database this year. We are proud to be in the company of many long-established and very high quality organizations providing unique adventures.
We just got our issue of Sunset Magazine with a blurb about the ranch in an article on the Top 10 Smart Vacations. We just thought we were providing a great experience here at the ranch, but apparently we are also adding to our guests' intelligence. What a bonus!
The writer of the story is Jad Davenport who was actually here a couple years ago to put together a piece for Fodors Travel Guide. Jad is a super guy and we really enjoyed having him here at the ranch. He and his girlfriend spent a couple days with us and were so taken by the place that he included us in this piece he put together for Sunset.
