Executive Chef Matt Campbell returns this summer for his 7th season. He grew up in the country in West Tennessee, spending summers with his grandparents where he fell in love with food at a young age watching them harvest and cook fresh vegetables from the garden. Matt has called Colorado his home for the past 11 years and spends his summers fishing and hiking and winters on his snowboard, when not in the kitchen.

Sous Chef Patrick Laird graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. After completing his internship here a year ago, he's decided he can't get enough of Colorado and returned full-time to us here at Vista Verde this last winter. He enjoys all types of cuisine and has been working in the culinary industry since high school and has already won various awards. Patrick originates from Wellington, Ohio and we look forward to his culinary enthusiasm in the kitchen!

Sallie Hallmark came to us from Birmingham, AL. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in entrepreneurship and small business management. After graduating she moved back to Birmingham to work for her family's construction company for two years, but has always wanted to come out west. She is here for her second season to head up our dining room as front of the house manager. This summer you will likely find her enjoying our ranch activities, this winter she fell in love with Nordic skiing, now she's excited to try mountain biking and maybe even river rafting.

Ashley Fritz will be a great addition to our server crew this summer. She is a hospitality management major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She knows what it takes to work hard and has dreams of staying in the hospitality industry. On weekends Ashley dances with the university's Latin dance team where they perform at sporting events. We hope to learn some new moves from Ashley at our barn dances!
