When the evenings get a bit cooler and the rivers run a little lower, the aspens start to gear up for a fall color extravaganza and the elk move back in. As these magical, natural events begin to happen, another magical event happens at Vista Verde- the ranch turns into an adult only playground. Just think, the kids are all back in school! You won’t be bothered by phones ringing off the hook. The only traffic jam you’ll run into is when the horses are being moved from one pasture to the next, and the biggest decision you’ll have to make for a day is whether you want to fish, horseback ride or go for a scenic hike.

In the winter months, there are plenty of adult only times too.  The snow is piled high, as is the staff to guest ratio!  After skiing hard or just a long day of reading in front of the fire, evenings are a pleasure with leisurely dinners and great conversation.
