Vista Verde is Kelli’s home away from home, with this summer being her 13th. Not only does she get to work with her Vista Verde family, but she also has the pleasure of working with her husband, Steve, her daughter Madi (when she is not in school), and her lab Rosey! She loves teaching wild yoga in the Aspen trees and growing organic veggies in their two greenhouses. Some things on her summer bucket list: learn the local birds by song, hike Devil’s Causeway and master her Yamaha TW200.

Previously, Chris worked as an instructor at REI in Redmond, WA, teaching Wilderness Survival, Hiking, and Zombie Apocalypse classes. Chris grew up in the Pacific Northwest where he enjoyed hiking, biking, and kayaking around the Puget Sound and Cascade Area. His recent favorite outdoor activity has been slack-lining. When he is not outdoors, you can find Chris with his guitar playing original Country Folk songs at local music venues.

Rachel recently graduated with a degree called Consumer Foods, so she likes to consume a lot of food. Chocolate is by far the food she consumes the most quantity of. She also loves working with children and has nannied in past summers. Gardening, thrift shopping, and attempting to complete Pinterest crafts are some things Rachel likes to do in free time. She also hopes to travel all over Europe in the near future and is excited to explore Colorado this summer.

This summer, Brandon is taking charge of both the ranch hand and fly fishing departments. In his free time, Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachelle, and their two kids, Wyatt and Scottlyn. Backpacking is also a hobby that he enjoys. Fun fact about Brandon: he is one of the only people to have went fly fishing in the Tigris River in downtown Baghdad.

Senior Fishing Guide
Hometown: Telluride, CO

Before landing on the ponds and rivers of Colorado and Vista Verde Ranch, Goose was a fly fishing guide in Alaska for 10+ years. He owns over 30 fly fishing rods and has guided fishing trips that have totaled up to over 50,000 trout being caught. Also while guiding, Goose has encountered many bears, being charged by eight of them. Interesting fact: Goose used to ride motorcycles professionally, where he broke his jaw in an accident and now has a metal jawbone.

Growing up in Minnesota, Isaac found a love for the outdoors. In his free time, he loves to hike, fish, hunt, rock climb, run, and do anything else that is adventurous, which makes him a perfect fit here at VVR!

Dan is finishing his degree in Wildlife and Outdoor Enterprise Management from KSU with a Summer-Fall Internship here at VVR. His passion for the outdoors has led him to many hobbies including fishing, backpacking, hunting, kayaking, skiing, photography, and cooking. Last Summer he worked as a Ranch Hand at Buffalo Creek Ranch near Rand, CO.
